Striving for Health

I lost 50 lbs. with Weight Watchers. Got off Cholesterol and blood pressure meds. Then got Rheumatoid Arthritis, had 2 should repair surgeries when my bones cut through my rotator cuffs, and my weight loss came to a stand still, but for 2 years have kept that weight off. Now I'm using Spark People and getting results again. Still struggling with pain, medications, etc., but grateful and determined.

"Above all else, do NOT quit! The universe always bows to persistence.
The empowering approach is to see your physical challenges as assets, because overcoming obstacles forces you to develop discipline, determination and character.
These traits will carry over to other areas of your life and make you a stronger person.

Thanks for the commnt on the blog. I really do try to stick to veganism. I eat frozen soy yogurt if I can find it. I make my own soy yogurt and I have an Ice cream maker....maybe this summer I will experiment with making my own frozen soy yogurt. I love cheese...besides ice cream , cheese is my down fall. There are some brands of nondairy cheese that are pretty good. Also pretty expensive. Sometime I sneak someshaved parmesan or Asagio cheese onto some meal I'm making. I'm a good intentioned vegan....LOL

Thanks for the comment on my blog, Janis.

My MIL got her bank statement when she went to the bank to withdraw money so it's not really a statement but more like a withdrawal slip.
