Fightin 40's

I'm coming up on my 44th birthday this summer. These last 10 lbs have been impossible to get off these past few years but I'm not giving up! I am determined to drop this extra weight and be my healthiest ever in 2013!

I worked very hard during 2012 to change my habits. I drank less, ate better and made time for the gym as often as possible (which was never often enough). At the end of the year my husband and I broke down and hired a personal trainer. We are now doing crossfit ...

We are now doing crossfit style workouts 2x's a week.

The new year has a bright outlook with more free time and less stress. My gym has a great support system with child care and I am looking forward to taking some new exercise classes that are being offered. I will Keep Pushing!

**********************************

I've been a member of Sparkpeople for many years now. This site helped me to shed all of my pregancy weight 2006 and helped me to prepare for a Figure Competition in 2007. After my competition my husband and I discovered our daughter was Autistic. I turned to food for comfort and as a self punishment. I started putting myself last on the list and I've been struggling on and off for the past 6 years to shed the same 10-15 lbs. The wonderful friends that I have made here, the fabulous tools this site provides and the fact that I can't afford to buy larger clothes are the only things that have kept me from reaching my past max weight of 150 lbs. I want to be at a healthy comfortable weight in my 40's and beyond.

2011 was a tough year for me. I was under a great deal of stress and I had been eating and drinking to relax. My poor eating habits coupled with an inflexible schedule that kept me out of the gym was very bad for my body. I will Keep Pushing!

Wow! That is so great to hear that you are full and your shut off mechanism is working for the first time in a long time. I am amazed but I believe you. You go, girl!!!!

Jannie - it sounds great! I think the hardest part would be giving up the grains and feeling full...does that make a difference? I'll look forward to your next blog. June 4th will be here before you know it. emoticon

Keep on working! Your weight goals and mine and your current weight is pretty close to mine. I sometimes think it is harder to lose a little then a lot as you don't have the big drop quickly at the beginning.
Curious if the Paleo diet has made a difference in your childs autism as I read reducing glutten can sometimes help.
