Spring 2016 - I'm doing the Biggest Loser Challenge, even though I'm still dealing with Lyme disease.
Here are this quarter's goals:

1. 8 cups of water each day
2. 3 freggies each day
3. Log on to Spark People each day
4. Weigh each day

Winter 2015-2016 - I can't believe its been a year since I updated my Spark Page. It has been a tough year. I had a hysterectomy in March & sinus surgery in Sept. My daughter had hip surgery in Nov. But its also been a great year! My son got married in Oct & my dad is now cancer free!!
I am hoping that now I can concentrate on my goals of staying healthy & getting closer to my pre-baby weight (over 25 years ago!!)
I am excited to be part of the Biggest Loser Team - Go Panthers!! And the Clover Leaf 5% team!!

January 2015 - I'm looking forward to the New Year! I am trying to get back on track & back into a losing mode!

Update Nov 2014 - I've decided to go to maintenance mode. I have been at the same weight now for 6 months!! I am excited & proud about that, really I am. I just wish it was a lower number (don't we all). But this Nov we have 2 surgeries scheduled (son's tonsils on the 10th & hubby's hernia on the 26th) & I do not see how I can stress about trying to lose more weight. For the rest of this year, I plan to stick with my basic nutritional goals & 30-60 min of fitness each day. I plan to get back on the "losing" bandwagon after Jan 1st.

Update Fall 2014 - My 4th 5% Challenge! I am excited! I haven't lost any more weight since Spring, but I have maintained my weight within 2-3 pounds, so that is an accomplishment! I do want to lose another 5 pounds or so during the next few months (By Christmas). My goal for the Fall 5% challenge is to get to 112 pounds. I also want to build more lean muscle so I can burn more calories. My nutrition plan is going well and my fitness plan is good, I just need to put in more minutes!!

Update June 2014-
I am starting my 3rd 5% weight loss challenge. During the Spring Challenge, I lost all the weight I planned to lose! Unfortunately, I only stayed at that weight for one week (hubby's vacation started the day the challenge ended). UGH!! But at least I know I can get there! And I WILL get there again (and try hard to stay there) during the Summer Challenge! One book that I think helped in my loss was "Beck Diet Solution". I stopped half way thru the book so I can finish it (and be inspired) for the Summer Challenge. I also have some non-weight loss goals that I will work on this Summer (financial, household, home school).


Update April 2014 - I did my first 5% Challenge this Winter. I got to within 1 pound of my original goal & 3 pounds of my "official" goal! Now I am back, helping lead the GREAT team of Clover Leafs! I also read the book "Made to Crave" over the winter & it was a major stepping stone to my weight loss/fitness/wellness success! I highly recommend the book to everyone!

Update Jan 2014 - This is my 2nd time on Spark People. I got down to about 120-ish last time (2008-2009). Then I got sick with Lyme disease & a parasite disease called babeosis. After that, I had sinus surgery, and stomach issues from the medicine I took for the Lyme disease & sinus issues. I got back up to my current heaviest (135) and stayed there for awhile.
Now I'm back again & plan to get to a lower number this time & STAY THERE!! I would love to get close to my wedding weight (100 pounds), but will be super happy staying in the one-teens.

Nutrition Plan:
Stay in SP range most days of the week. Concentrate daily on:
5 freggies,
60 g protein,
10 cups water,
16 g fiber.

Exercise Plan:
~Walk daily with hubby
~Do strength training, yoga, or pilates 4-6 times a week
~ Walk with Leslie Sansone as much as possible
~ Get 6000 steps a day
~ Walk 500 miles in 2016





Personal Information:
I live in South Georgia & homeschool my 2 youngest children (my 3 oldest have moved out). I've been married to my high school sweetheart for over 25 years & enjoy being married now more than ever!

    I emoticon when you mentioned thinkin' of me when ya hear "Texas."

    Boy, we have been through it since after Christmas I tell ya! Everyone was shocked the day after with the HUGE tornado that did so much damage around here. We know many people that lost everything. Just terrible. We were in just the right spot where it passed a few blocks from us traveling down the highway. *Sheeewww!* Since then we have had flooding and many more tornado events. I can't wait until it calms down and the season for this mess is OVER!

    I have had my share of grief with illness and dental issues... emoticon
    I'm trying to get back on track now!
