Starting over

I started Spark People in 2010 and lost about 40 #'s but then LOTS of things changed in my life and my weight ballooned out of control. I am starting over and determined I will lose this weight and keep it off! I now find my weight is really impacting my health more than it ever has and if I want to spend more years with my family I have to get control of my life/weight.

My Goals:
I want to loose a total of 69 lbs. I will work out at least 5 days a week by walking for 20 - 30 min a day & doing squats. I will work with free weights to tone my arms. I will drink 8 8-oz glasses of water a day.

My Program:
Back to basics is my plan for weight loss.
Smaller portions and calorie counting & tracking food/exercise on Sparkpeople. I will support my fellow Challengers and encourage them daily by posting to the blogs.

Personal Information:
I'm married to a wonderful man. I have 3 children & 5 grandchildren. I have a beautiful Great Pyrenees dog who is my baby. I love to read, take walks,fish & camp. I enjoy spending time traveling with my husband/friends.

Other Information:
God & my family are the most important things in my life!
I love to travel, sing, make cards, cook, camp, read & go for walks.
I want to believe again that I am the beautiful & sexy woman my husband says that I am.

Thanks for stopping by my page! Tessie is a cutie and she works it to her advantage. I started out with 5k's a couple of years ago and the running thing got a little out of control. Sunday is the BIG day. Have a great week. :)

Thanks for stopping by page emoticon Yes I did the SHRED diet a few weeks ago. It is worth trying- I wrote a few blogs about it if you want to check them out. It may be worth a try if you are tired of what you are doing. I lost about 10 pounds during the 6 weeks which was pretty good since I did not follow the plan the entire time emoticon

Thanks for the comment and encouragement on my blog. I weighed myself last Monday and had lost 2 lbs, so it was a bit of a shock for it to go back on plus, but I did lose 0.2 lbs since last Saturday so I suppose that is something. It is a help to have input from other people who have the same experience and helps put it in context. I did say when I started that my progress is generally very slow. I don't want to be out of the challenge though as it is a big motivation for me. emoticon emoticon
