Started following the Spark Solution and the Spark Coach program in June... Major Win!!! Just what this girl needed to get on this weight loss track!!! Thank you Spark Coaches for your daily encouragement and program to help me stay focused!!! Cancelled my WW membership today since I was only using that to weigh in... no sense in paying that $ when I have what I need right here on SP!!

Update 6 (Dec 11, 2012):
Well, I can say one thing for sure... I am a creature of habit. Reading over my updates would make one think that I should have reached my goal weight a long time ago! But I haven't, and it is because I keep giving up on myself. So, once again, I am back here and this time I enlisted the help of Weight Watchers. I need to be held accountable for my actions... I need to go into the center and weigh in. My family is following the program with me at home this time also. I am very optimistic that this will be the turn around that I have needed for a very long time!

Update 4 (Nov 22, 2011):
Started working out at Anytime Fitness on my 45th birthday ;) Best birthday present in the world! I am feeling better and stronger everyday!

Update 3 (July 14, 2011):
Didn't do too well with that last 100 day challenge... and my motivation went with it... I just need to make the mental change a permanent change... I've just got to do this!

Update 2 (May 6, 2011):
I had a moderate sabbatical from being dedicated to my program... this happened when my weight loss slowed to a crawl. I started sliding back into old habits and realized that I really don't want to do that... so now I am back, focused and ready to work hard again... 100 day challenge underway!

Update 1 (Jan 2011):
I am very happy to say that I have been consistently taking better care of myself since finding SparkPeople!!! I have had my longest stretch of exercising daily... in my life... since making the commitments to myself that I have made. I am truly LOVING the support that I am getting from this site!!!

17Nov2010: I'm on a mission...a mission to stay focused so that I can be a healthier and happier me. I am very blessed to have a very loving husband and 3 beautiful loving daughters. I have every reason in the world to work hard in order to be healthier. I am a very happy person, but not happy with how I have been taking care of myself. I am ready to fix that now.

My Goals:
My primary goal is to live by the SparkPeople Pledge: "I promise to make healthy and positive choices so that I can live a healthy lifestyle and reach" a healthy weight of 153 lbs or less.

I used to say that I was my own worst enemy, Now I am know that I am my own best friend...

Mental Focus... the only way to stay successful!!!

Refocus Goals:

Month 1 (17Dec11)- to still be staying true to myself and to be working out on a regular basis
Month 2 (17Jan12)-
Month 3 (17Feb12)- down 10% from 284 (today’s weight)= 256

Month 4 (17Mar12)-
Month 5 (17Apr12)-
Month 6 (17May12)- down 10% from 256= 231

My Program:
I started this journey on Nov 17th 2010 (my 44th birthday), with a committment to myself to stay on track. I am so glad that I found SparkPeople.com to assist me.

Check in daily on this site, enter everything I eat and workout. Get as many Sparks Points as I can.
Make "right" food choices.

My workouts are either Zumba; Walking/ Strength training with Leslie Sansone/ WW/ Biggest Loser DVDs, Walking; or walking the treadmill or working out on the elliptical or with the weights at Anytime Fitness.

My Weight Loss Baby Steps:

Baby Step 1- Follow the Spark Coach

Baby Step 2- Continue tracking food and exercise

Baby Step 3- Continue committment to exercise

Baby Step 4- Focus on good food choices and limit the junk carbs daily

Baby Step 5- Drink my water everyday

Baby Step 6- Pray everyday for continued good health and patience to reach my goals

Baby Step 7- Celebrate Success... don't focus on failures

Thanks for the BULLSEYE! and the really nice message - so nice to hear that I am helping:)

I have been BUSY BUSY BUSY - getting a little more serious about my recipes and cooking as I am thinking about a food blog..and eventually who knows...a food delivery empire! LOL

Here's what I have done so far - please have a look a let me know what you think? All recipes and photos are mine ecpet for the Peanut Fudge Brownie photo. Am cooking those today so looking forward to getting the camera out.

Just so excited about this possibly new venture - 12 months from launching it methinks !

I have just bought a website name www.thecarbologist.com

Many others like www.kickthecarbs.com etc. were taken but I kinda like being known as The Carbologist lol

Thanks for you huge shout out at my one month sobriety! So awessome of you.

Still going strong and even went to a bar yesterday with a friend and totally enjoyed the atmosphere as we caught up - me with my limey soda water and her with her red wine.

Was a little concerned it might start to get to me but I was completely and utterly fine.

And WOW - its so much fun watching some people who are drunk - no one told me how entertaining I used to be. I should have been charging admission! lol
