After an interruption... (2013 was a hard year.. for reasons I won't list because there are too many to fit here)... I'm back. Again. So here I am... 46 (almost) years old, crohn's, over 100 lbs to lose while being careful not to set off a crohn's flare... and i'm going back to basics. South beach (modified for Fodmap avoidance). Ready, set, go.

My Goals:
I want to lose weight mostly to become healthier, less likely to develop diabetes and all that comes with it, and make it so I can move more easily. I'm also working to find a way to manage my fairly recent diagnosis of crohn's and all the medicines and related issues that come with that.

My Program:
I'm hoping to add more movement, as well as moderate portion sizes. I have fairly severe dietary restrictions, so that makes eating a lot of roughage and artificial sweeteners (and a lot of OTHER things) a challenge, so I am just doing my best to eat as balanced a diet as possible given the restrictions. So far, I'm not doing too badly.

Other Information:
Hoping my fellow NORC'ers and the SparkPeople can really help to motivate me to add more movement and provide motivation to stick with it :)
