My name is Jeff, and I have had a dumb old belly since I graduated from college. I have never particularly been overweight. I am an avid walker, and do more than my share of physical exercise, and I am not much of a drinker, so where'd this darned thing come from anyway??? My girlfriend joined spark people not too long ago, and I have been more than impressed by what she has told me about the program, but and the high degree of stress-free success she has achieved. After a bit of soul searching, (and one last look at this darned spare tire), I have decided to follow her success with spark people with my own. I intend to live a long and healthy life with her by my side, and am hoping this will represent permanent strides towards this ultimate goal.

I want to be a stronger person in mind and body.

I want to be able to "do" when i want to, or when I have to.

I want to get rid of the gut once and for all, and fit into size 32's again.

I want to enjoy food quality vs quantity, and NEVER take eating for granted again.

My Program:
I will continue to monitor my calories, and make better eating choices.

I will increase my activity level, physically, mentally and spiritually to be a stronger, more rounded person.

I will exercise above and beyond my current level of activity at least 3 times a week, so I can do more than lose weight. I want to be stronger.

The challenge is on. After we weigh in on November 1st, the scales are put away until December 1st. We will see if we can go 30 days with no scale!
