It's amazing that I joined SparkPeople almost 7 years ago. My Spark anniversary is December 27th (2008). It has continued to be an important tool for me to maintain my healthy lifestyle, fitness levels and weight loss.

Here are important things I learned on SparkPeople:

1. Planning what I eat before I eat it; adjusting my food intake based on hunger.

2. Exercise with a purpose.

3. Remain committed to my program and accept that I can only control what I do TODAY.

4. Enjoy the results from eating healthy and exercise.

5. Do not allow negative / all-or-nothing thinking derail me and accept that this is lifestyle is a choice and a gift.

6. Identify my limiting beliefs and replace them with new ones.

My favorite quote that I learned early in my journey:
