Hi, I'm Jeanette from Charlotte, NC. I joined Sparks in June 2008 and have enjoyed the journey BUT IT'S TIME FOR A NEW BEGINNING--9 YEARS AND LOTS OF CHANGES LATER.

I have just faced a reality:
I NEED SPARKS --AND--TRUTH BE KNOWN: I BELIEVE YOU PROBABLY NEED SPARKS TOO--COMMUNITY GIVES US STRENGTH.

My 1st experience with Sparks began in June 2008. This new beginning is Sept 2017--9 years, 3 mos. later.

I almost quit a week ago---SO GLAD I HESITATED AND THOUGHT IT OVER. I had a terrible summer--bad health issues, etc, but I don't want to talk about that, I want to talk about good things. NOW IS THE TIME I AM GOING TO LEAVE THE "BAD" THINGS BEHIND AND START LOOKING 'UP AND AHEAD' TO GREATER THINGS FOR MY HEALTH.

I AM NOT a very young person, but I AM A PERSON OF ACTION, OPTIMISM AND LOOKING AHEAD--so--as we begin the next season with Sparks and my FIRECRACKER TEAM, I will do well because I AM DETERMINED TO DO WELL.

I AM BACK--FULL TIME--
I AM WOMAN--I AM TOTALLY FIRECRACKER--
I AM DETERMINED TO BE A WINNER IN ALL AREAS OF THIS
SEASON WITH FIRECRACKERS
AND--I will win this course of life.

I am going back to basics--sparing you a long list--
BUT my list will include:
A GOOD ATTITUDE ABOUT ALL TEAM EFFORTS
GREAT TEAM SPIRIT

WHATEVER IT TAKES is my motto. I am willing to give it my all to get healthy. I've done enough damage to this body. Now it's time to take care of it.

So --I'm in this to lose and already have lost...70.5 lbs

5% Challenge-fitness goals:
1. walk daily and increase steps daily
2. ex. at home
My primary goal is to become as healthy as I can be so that I will live long enough to see my GREAT. and--grand --children grow up. Family is extremely important to me and I am convinced that Grandmom is important to family, so, I MUST have a healthy body which means lower BMI --


So, Goal #1 - lower BMI to normal
2. Weight to normal for my height
3. Have better health, BP,cholesterol


My Program:
With the help of God I will meet my goals by healthy eating and daily exercise.

ABSOLUTELY NO ADDED SUGAR - GOAL TO BE MET WITHIN 2 WEEKS.
LOW SALT.
LOW FAT.



Personal Information:
I am an open book so everything about me is open to you.
I am a lady from North Carolina, lived in MD until 1994, then moved to PA until 2007 when we moved to NC. Have 2 daughters in their 50s, and bonus son age 40.
Grands are 35 , 29, 26, 20 and 6, plus 3 new great grands 4, 2 and 1 MO.. (added another Great grand)
I am Loving life but wanting to see 'less of me' in my body.
Have lost 75 lbs as of 4/1/2010 and hope to be down to 165 soon.



Other Information:
My favorite book would be the Bible since I read it daily. It is my strength in times of weakness.
