Hey, I'm Jenna, a 27 year old HR Manager and writer. I've been overweight all my life, and I want to make a change for the better; not be sick, winded, and tired all the time.
I'm pretty sedentary, and because of a car accident I had in '08, I've busted my ankles and knees up pretty badly, and I can't really exercise well, or for too long a time.
I want to lose about 225 - overall - in order to be a healthier me. I've been the same size all through high school and college and I want to take the weight off and keep it off. I want to fit on a plane seat and not be cramped, and I want people to look at me and say "wow, who is that?"
My program consists of eating right and trying some low-impact exercises that doesn't make my ankle hurt: playing the Wii Fit, the Wave rocker, and walking in the neighborhood. (What can I say, I'm paying back student loans; I have no money for a gym membership!)
I was born and raised in a little town in Southwest Virginia, right near the Tennessee and North Carolina borders, but I currently call Bristol, Virginia my home because I work down there all the time.

*My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen with the Harry Potter series in a close second. (What can I say, I want my own Mr. Darcy.)
*I love to travel, and one of the main reasons I joined SparkPeople is to lose weight to fit comfortably in a plane seat and not have to ask for a seat-belt extender.
*My dad had suffered from Type-2 Diabetes for several years before he passed away with Glioblastoma Multiform (Brain Cancer) and I do not want the other health problems attributed to diabetes to happen to me.
