My name is Jennifer my friends call me Jen (with only one "n") I am here to loose weight so that I will be in better health and as a friend so perfectly described it "be comfortable in my own body" I need to loose 100lbs and would love to do it in a year but would be happy if it took 18 months and feel it should definately not take longer than 2 years! (That didn't work but still going) My problem is motivation and getting it through my thick skull that I don't need to eat for every emotion ...

I hope to at least be back to 75lbs lost by this summer (2011)
2/18/11 I just realized I have been using spark people for a month already :)
3/3/11 been using spark people for two months now and I am hoping that by staying active on here I will not lose the momentum/motivation I have to get to my goal weight this time. Being sick in the past would have so derailed me.
4/9/11 Hmmm I thought I had updated this a few days ago, April 1st was my 3 month Sparkversary! I love this website! I truly think everyone that I have friended on here are what are keeping me going through these past few weeks being sick and going through some physical changes! I am still motivated and sooo HAPPY. The gym isn't a bothersome place and I have found a new problem I have with my body that I need to work on but this is a good thing! it is easier for me to work on bits and pieces then the whole project at once! :) Thanks everyone for your support, motivation and occasional kick in the butt :)
4/17/11 LOL I can stand straight and look down and see my toes again! :) A couple more days before I take the next progress pictures...
5/8/11 I have lost 65lbs total and 20 since the beginning of the year! My goal of having lost 75 by the summer is going to be difficult since Memorial day and June are right around the corner, maybe I can do it by the official first day of summer ;)
6/6/11 I am making progress slowly but surely, I am not going to get to my goal by January but as long as I keep losing it will be ok :) I lost an inch and half in my waist since when I measured last month. I won't lose the 75 by the official start of summer unless I get a miracle and lose 10lbs in 2 weeks so I am going to try for the 4th of July! You will all know when I have reached that goal! When I get there I will be half way to my goal it will be something to celebrate!
1/1/12~I think I need to start over, well not completely over, I haven't gained all the weight I have lost back I just have hit a major plateau. going to try and get in as many steps as possible everyday in hopes it will help me in some way. I also need to get my behind to the gym more often because that is when I see the most progress.
4/19/12~I made my 75lbs goal!!!! now to lose 100 by my birthday :)
11/18/12~I didn't make my 100lbs goal...didn't even make 85 by my birthday...hoping to get to 85 this week but working on getting to the 100lbs by Valentines day! That is 1.5lbs a week...lets see what happens!

5/5/13~Happy Cinco de Mayo! I have not made my goals and have been sliding backwards. I am trying to figure out why I am sliding. I need to get back to the 75lbs AGAIN! I have been diligent about staying within my points 6 days a week, Saturdays I have a splurge meal when I go out with my mom and grandmother that usually ends up putting me over my points for the day. Just trying to stay afloat. :)
6/24/13~I have made it back to 75lbs! my object is too keep plugging along, not gain anything and keep losing.
5/8/14~ I have lost 81lbs...object now is to improve if not at least stay above the 80 mark :)
