Reaching my goals

I originally joined this site to get fit for my vacation. Then I realized that I wanted more. I've been unhappy with my body for my whole life and I'm tired of it. I've done the yo-yo diet thing for 20 years and I've finally learned that the only way to do this is the hard way - changing my eating habits and activity levels and changing the "diet" mentality into a "lifestyle change" mentality. No more excuses, I'm going to do it this time!

Ultramarathons- when marathons start looking easy.....
That is awesome. 30 seconds to start! And now into marathons nd ultras. I have no plans to run a marathon, but perhaps one day! I can't say never as I honestly never thought I'd be a runner. I may surprise myself one day :)

Thanks for reading my race report.

I may run Prairie State next year if I miss Chicago.

I would love to join you at the Lakefront 50K. But I doubt I could run 5K at the moment. I'm still suffering from the marathon. I pulled something that shouldn't have pulled. May need a doc visit if it doesn't get better.

Good luck on the 50K!!

I hope your ankle is feeling better. It wouldn't be fair to get sidelined after all the hard training you've been putting in. emoticon

Oh I'm sorry to hear you had to give up something you love. I can imagine how traumatic that would be to fall from a horse! I hope one day you'll be able to overcome your fears and ride again, but I know how difficult that is.

Thanks for your comment on my blog, I was able to ride my bike on Saturday which was the first time since the accident. I went to a park where there are no vehicles. Today I will try my normal route again, but with my husband (and helmet!).

Btw, you look GREAT! I would love to be your size, but I don't know if that will ever happen.. I just can't seem to stop eating!!
