I'm striving for new horizons via renewed health and energy! Proud member of the BLC (Biggest Loser Challenge) and Azure Destinations, I've been traveling on a fabulous road via Sparkpeople and my wonderful teams. I'm also 57, married to the BGOE (Best Guy On Earth), have a wonderful, 23-year-old son and six other former exchange students/others who have become "adopted" children as well, ranging from 25 - 32. I also have the charming puppies in my photo gallery and I want to be healthy and active for all of them for a long time to come!

Yeah, I still work at home. I have toyed with getting a mini fridge for stuff like that in my office, but I don't know where I'd put it.

Jen, thanks for the suggestion of Acacia fiber. I'm not familiar with it so I will have to look it up.
Yeah, if I eat berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, etc.) I never have problems with getting enough fiber in my diet. It's a pity I can't afford to eat fresh berries every day, LOL!

Hey, thanks for swinging by my spark page! I'm doing all right. This has been a bit of a strange summer, but I had two fun camping vacations (both SCA, the second of which we are still unpacking etc. from).

Whatever works is the important thing. I completely understand. I know several instructors have gym memberships, etc. I cancelled mine once I got certified for 2 reasons-not going that often, and the monthly gym fee cost about as much as my monthly REFIT fee I pay to get access to the resources for instructors and keep my instructor license current. I do the REFIT on Demand videos but I've been known to use their dvd's at my brother's when I visit but sometimes I will mix it up with the dvd's I currently own, like Les Mills Combat. I"m the same way, prefer working out at home although I'd make the exception if there were any REFIT classes near me but there aren't except for mine. And be on the lookout if classes do pop up. I know the REFIT team with be in Kalamazoo in September for a master class and training, so more classes near you may pop up. NOt sure how far Kalamazoo is for you but if it's not too far you should check into taking their master class with the founders on Friday night. It's normally about 10 dollars and runs from 7-8:30. You can also get pics with the founders after and you can bring kids, too. Just an FYI. Thanks for sharing with your friends, too!

That's great, Jen! Are you doing the YouTube videos? She's my fave too although they're all great in their own ways. That all started the weekend of my training almost 2 years ago. There's been a bond there ever since that can't be explained despite the age difference.
