I'm striving for new horizons via renewed health and energy! Proud member of the BLC (Biggest Loser Challenge) and Azure Destinations, I've been traveling on a fabulous road via Sparkpeople and my wonderful teams. I'm also 56, married to the BGOE (Best Guy On Earth), have a wonderful, 23-year-old son and six other former exchange students/others who have become "adopted" children as well, ranging from 25 - 30. I also have the charming puppies in my photo gallery and I want to be healthy and active for all of them for a long time to come!

I receive much wise counsel through the Holy Bible. Scripture is full of wisdom for all, whether they are a believer or not. Here is the wisdom I receive today as I prepare for April's focus on developing a willingness that makes me able to succeed:
Isaiah advises us, "For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, 'In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.' But you were not willing" ~ Isaiah 30:15.
We miss out on good things in life when we are unwilling to cooperate in doing what is needful for achieving the good we desire. God through Isaiah tells us that our consenting to cooperate with laws, rules, guidelines, etc., leads to our eating "the best of the land" (Isaiah 1:18-20). Willingness to do what we must for what we want is a necessary mindset for overcoming temptation and the failure to achieve. Develop a willingness to do what it takes within the boundaries of what is good, right, and true, and you will go far in life.
"If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself" ~ John 7:17.
