As of January, 2013, I needed to lose over 75 pounds before I would be in my healthy weight range. I got the most unhealthiest I've ever been in my life this past year. NO MORE DENIAL! I'm changing things, starting now!

July, 2013- Lost 30 pounds, life is easier, I have less back pain, I am feeling good.
August, 2013- Lost 40 pounds. My husband has been one of the greatest supporters of all.

My Goals:
Gain confidence in myself

My Program:
My goals are to do cardio work outs 30 minutes a day, then strength train Mondays and Fridays, with the occasional extra on Wednesday if I have time. Weekends are for activities with my husband and family, we love bike riding. I also am focused on making sure I lower my cholesterol and keeping away from the plague of diabetes in my family.

Personal Information:
I grew up with a lot of wonderful things in life. I was a very active child. I constantly rode my bike, I loved skating, climbed all over the huge trees in our yard, jumped on the large trampoline, played ping-pong, went camping often and constantly rode my bike on dirt trails, swimming, etc, etc. I've also traveled to Hawaii twice with my family, been to New York twice, Mexico, loved my 3 sisters, and have had a strong Christian upbringing which has helped me to be as happy as I am today. The only problem I have is eating the wrong foods and in the wrong quantities. I still very much enjoy being active, and find it very rewarding to exercise.

Thanks for thinkig of me! I know what you meant.
I've been busy! Calworks wants me to go to an hour long class 5 days a week, plus log 20 hours of 'job searching' or other activities like typing class, or turning in resumes or applications. The good thing is that if I turn in an application or take the typing test, each thing I do counts as 2 hours...don't ask me why in the world they do it that way, but it helps. I just don't know who to apply for because I am already trying to do the IHSS for grandma, and possibly another client, but I don't have the approved hours yet, so until I start working that I have to keep applying or whatever, and I'm like 'what's the point?' I worry that if there is another job out there that wants me to work for them, I won't be able to take care of Grandma when she has her knee surgery. I feel overwhelmed. But it also feels pretty good to finally be doing something to support myself and the kids. I'm just not used to the 'busy' part.
How's work for you? Are you off 2 weeks? I probably won't be able to travel this winter break because of the Calworks. I hope to at least have a few days off! They haven't told me anything about that yet.

Thanks for the encouragement Jess. I ate terrible a whole week. Like a few hundred calories over everyday for the whole week. I still exercised though, and the scale shows about a 1 lb. gain...so I guess I shouldn't be too discouraged. I have gradually been cutting back again, but I am still over the limits...but like you said, in the long term I have been doing well If I look at the big picture. I will see about making a visual board, like you said. I'll try to see this week as a bump in the road and just keep driving!

Help! My eating went out of control on Sunday at the buffet, and I haven't been able to get my daily calories back down. I'm struggling to get back in control, and its seems like I can only gradually get better each day that goes by. I hope I can reign it in, but today Nick brought cupcakes and before I thought about it I said 'yes thank you'.

I hope you are getting better. It seems like you've been missing a while! I think all the antibiotics have taken a toll perhaps, on your immune system. Taking any probiotics? You need an immune system boost!! Maybe leafy veggies, dark chocolate, green tea...hmmmmm..what else? Oh! Vitamin C, but not the pills! I have learned that ascorbic acid is not the same thing as vitamin C, which IS found in oranges and such.
Anyways....lecture, lecture lecture from big sis.
