If you're going to doubt something, doubt your limits.

I have done 1 "round" of SP with a lot of success, but then life got in my way. Well, I realized after 8 months that life isn't going anywhere, but I should be! I'm back for more and love working with the Spark People community!

LONG-TERM
-Go swimming

-Fit comfortably into movie theater, amusement park, and airplane seats

-Do normal activities like grocery shopping without working up a sweat

-Get off ALL medications and CPAP

-Live each day without weight loss dominating my entire life and be happy with the way I am

My Program:
1. Eating correct portions of healthy foods.

2. Making activity a part of my daily routine.

3. Tracking it all and getting support from Spark People.

I live in SE Minnesota along the Mississippi River.

I have an elderly dad, an adult daughter, and 2 sassy cats.

I’ve been working my fanny off to be healthy, lose weight and have more energy. I’ve been at it for months now and have done wonderful! So now that I’ve been so successful, I can take a meal break and have a double bacon cheeseburger, large fries and a soda!!! Yay!! .....WRONG!!! This is a lifestyle change, not a temporary fix until I hit that magic number or get that magic thin feeling. Train your brain and the rest will fall into place! Keep working at it….the rewards are not food related.

So you lost 1 lbs, 2 lbs, 3 lbs and you scream and jump because you're so excited. You finally see the scale moving in the direction it's supposed to. Then you look in the mirror and wonder, "But wait! Where did I lose it from? I look the same!" Then you're depressed because that one pound should have meant you looked like you lost 50 lbs. Be patient! One day the scale number and your mirror will match!! Stay on track, don't give up and smile while you suffer. LOL

You know, sometimes you just don't want to do it! You want to eat whatever you want, drink whatever you want, don't exercise if you don't want and say "so what!". That's the little red devil on one shoulder. On the other shoulder the little angle says, "because it means your life, that's what!" and here you are!! Keep up the hard work to a healthier you!

Your new excuse is someones old excuse.
Your new health plan is someones old heath plan.
You may not be chartering new waters in finding the new you, but you can be positive and have fun along the way.
