My Program:
I am a vegetarian. I avoid wheat/gluten and most sugar. I am currently following the Crazy Sexy Diet which involves juicing and a plant-based diet high in micro-nutrients. I completed a 5K walk in October, beating my time goal by 2 minutes. I am also registered for a 10K walk in May and a 1/2 marathon walk in June.

Thank you for your comment on my 5 lbs. I kind of gave up last year after so many changes and hard times and I decided, like you, that this is my year to do it!!! First week in and I guess I'm doing okay! :) I know that you and I are going to make 2013 a much lighter year.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my page, and for the encouragement! I was initially planning on waiting until I was thinner before starting to train for a 5K, but honestly, I am SO glad that I took the plunge and started now! I REALLY think you should do the same! SparkPeople has a virtual 5K the end of October (Trick or Treat Trot). You can sign up to jog, walk/jog, or just walk it, plus SP's 5K Your Way training programs have a walk a 5K option, too! Even if you don't think you could walk/jog right now, you should sign up to walk it, and start training! I think the training is about 5 week, so just enough time before the "race"; plus, you'll be doing the actual 5K on your own time, and without a crowd, so there is no one to impress... just yourself! emoticon Really. If I can do this, I'm pretty sure anyone can!! I can't wait to check back with your blog and see how AMAZING you are doing with your journey to fitness!
