Hello all! I'm Jenny, long time SP user. but it's the first time in a long time I've felt ready to do this. I have lot's of restrictions in my diet that used to bother and discourage me;however, now I see challenges can be fun and have taken it upon myself to search for new recipes that can work for me! I've struggled through this journey far too long feeling all the negatives;I'm putting a spin on it now and am going to try the positives! First things first, update the Spark Page!

At certain times I feel like I am on my way to physically becoming who I really feel like inside. I am finding that fire deep within me, the one that burns with the same brightness as it did before. I am seeking and finding the person I am, the person I was, the person I can be, And I WILL enjoy a long part of this journey- maybe not every moment! But WILL be consciously appreciative of everything!

My Goals:
Date: Aug. 31, 2013:
I will lose 17 lbs by November 1, 2013.
Today I weigh lbs, then I will weigh lbs.

My Program:
I will eat healthy and drink lots of water. My meals will consist of 1/4 protein, 1/4 carbs and 1/2 veggies. I will get the SparkPeople app and track my food. Working out can be fun! I will not feel so down in the dumps about working out- instead I will seek out new workouts and do only what I enjoy!
Most of all, I will remember who and what I'm doing this for: Me. My Family. My Health.

Hi there,

Thank you for the links on my page, I really appreciate it, and the thing is, it was so surprising, I had just posted items of the same nature on the Wisconsin page. *L*

I was talking about (on the chat section) things regarding how to exercise during winter, because I'm one of the Administrators for the Wisconsin team, and after I'd written my blog, I thought hey, I should type that up in the Chat for the team. So I did some research and wrote up some exercises for Winter.

So when I saw that on my blog that you'd put on there, I had to thank you, that was wonderful! There were some more things I hadn't even thought of and should have, living here in Wisconsin!

Hi Jenny! Thanks for checking out my blog. I just wanted to tell you that goals aren't easy to hit. It really takes focus and determination --- both things I know you can do - and do successfully!

One thing that might help is to look at your goals at the beginning of each day, or at least the beginning of each week. Just remind yourself of your goals and make plans on how to be successful at each of them on that day or that week.

Good morning, friend! I am sorry for this late reply. You posted on my Spark Page about walking when the weather is so cold. Actually, I get out there and walk unless the conditions are dangerous, like icy sidewalks or high winds and lightening. As for the cold weather, the trick is layers. I know it takes some effort to put on 2 shirts and long johns under the walking pants and a thin jacket under the thicker coat and a scarf and hat with gloves. BUT once you get out there in that crisp air and start moving, it really is SO WORTH IT. I listen to music that inspires me too or if I can, I walk with a friend. Mostly, however, I walk alone, because I haven't found someone who can walk as often as I try to. I shoot for 5 or 6 days a week. ALSO, I heard from a fairly accurate source that our bodies burn MORE calories when we exercise in the cold, because they have to work harder. THIS is a motivating point too. Have a great day!
