Hi! I'm JJ and I've been battling my weight as long as I can remember. I've tried Weight Watchers, but found that I just couldn't afford it. I'm currently enrolled at Randolph-Macon Woman's College, majoring in curricular studies and minoring in environmental studies. I am a Prime Time (non-traditional age) student. I live in VA with my husband, 2 daughters, and a menagerie of pets. I'm hoping to lose 50 lbs so that I can better manage my blood pressure and cholesterol. Not to mention that I've been having trouble walking lately. My legs start to cramp and I get winded easily. I was doing pretty well on SparkPeople during summer break, but the crazy schedule of school has caused me to backslide. I'm planning on getting back into the swing of SparkPeople over Winter Break so that I can have the habits established before going back to school in January.
UPDATE: I graduated in May 2007 with my BA in curricular studies with a minor in environmental studies. I am currently working on a Masters of Art in Teaching (MAT) in Special Ed and will be graduating from that program on May 11, 2008.
UPDATE 2: I graduated in May 2008 with my MAT in Special Ed. Currently I am working as a substitute teacher and sending out resumes and applications in order to find a full time teaching position by Fall 08.

My main diet problem is that I am a stress eater and with everything that's going on in my life, I'm ALWAYS under stress.
