Time for a Change!

I wish I could say I am where I want to be...but I gave up on myself a couple of months ago and have gained back most of what I lost. I am back today to commit to this again! I will not ever give up.. If I fall I will keep standing back up. Starting again..6/26/2011 at 302 lbs.

I started almost a year ago on this journey and there have been ups and downs. Lately I have been so far off track that I decided to change my perspective! I am starting a new weight loss journey. On my previous journey I lost 56 lbs! I started at 311 lbs and got down to 254 lbs. I am now 279 lbs and I am working my way towards a healthier me! Below is my weigh ins since I started almost a year ago. I will reach my ultimate goal...one day at a time!

Okay.. I erased my original intro... I want to update it!! My name is Kristen and I am a 27 year old wife to Josef and Mother To Jacob (4), Ella (3) and Emery (1) I have been overweight my whole life...When I got married I weighed around 250 or 260 ish...and I was pregnant...then 6 months after having my son I got pregnant with my daughter....I got up to about 308. I started WW and did it for 2 weeks... then I stopped...In 2009 I got pregnant with my 3rd child. I cried because I was 324 lbs. I was afraid I would gain even more weight as with my first two I gained about 20 lbs each... I was afraid of getting up in the 340's...But I actually lost weight while pregnant with my daughter. I weighed 317 when I had her. After having her I made it to 297 and then back up to 311...Which is where I started this journey. My sister (Blessedwithlife on spark) decided to start a Weight loss class at church. I really didn't want to do it but went anyways...and I don't know what happened...but something clicked after the first meeting.. I decided I was going to work hard and actually do this. My first week I lost 5 lbs! I couldn't believe it was working! It motivated me and here I am 19 weeks later 50.8 lbs down! I still have about 100 lbs to go...My goal is 100 lbs in a year! So far I am 50 lbs into that goal!

My Goals:
My goal is 100 lbs in a year!! But over all I want to be about 145 ish..maybe smaller..When I first wrote this out.. I said I would like to lose about 135 lbs..but now I know I can do more..I am worth more!



My Program:
When I started my weight loss journey I was doing weight watchers. Now I am just counting calories and exercising!

I am trying to start doing cardio 5 to 6 times a week and I want to do Strength training 3 times a week!

Thank you! I am so glad you like my food blogs!

To make my oats I buy instant rolled oats/steel cut oats.

I put 1/3 cup oats, 1/3 cup water, and 1/3 cup skim milk in pan on medium heat with a sliced banana. I let it sit until it starts bubbling and then I stir it continuously over med-low heat for 1-2 minutes stirring in 1 Tbsp. of brown sugar. In about 5 minutes they are done! I then add toppings like raisins, granola, fruit, or maple syrup!

Hi hope everything is going well, believe me I know what a struggle it is. I still have a lot of issues with food and still fight the battle. Hang in there things have to get better emoticon hope your staying cool emoticon

Just wanted to tell you that I love my food chopper. I have been using it to make guacamole and all I can say is that I will NEVER chop anotther veggie again. Thanks....YOU ROCK!
