I've done it!!!

I started this journey almost a year ago. I was disgusted and upset that I had gained most of the weight back that I had worked so hard to lose three years prior. My stress level was high and things in my life were not going well, but I decided to try again anyway.

I was surprised at the age of 55 I could lose weight as easily as I did. I did cardio 3-4 times a week and have faithfully counted my calories on Sparkpeople. I also decided to do more muscle strengthening. I have pushed myself physically to do more.

My goal now is to keep the weight off and continue to do cardio and strengthening exercises. I know that this time I cannot go back to sitting around and eating junk food. I know there is still that part of me that lacks self control when it comes to food. I know that is will be a challenge and I will have to remain diligent.

I can definitely relate with your story. Stress, emotional eating and gaining back all the weight you worked so hard to lose! I'm 53 and starting AGAIN! It's harder to lose the weight the older I get, but since it's not going to get any easier, I'm committed to hanging in there. Was so glad to see and read of your success! You are an inspiration to me!

Thanks so much for your reply to my questions about devices! I've heard that the chest strap is pretty important. How do you wear that? Like up under your arms sort of? I would like to get one at a store in person rather than thru the snail mail. I'm still a hands on shopper. I refuse to move past 1986 too much!!! LOL!:))

Thanks for the info. I have heard that is super hard, but will talk to my nephw who did it, granted he is hockey player etc. but I will start easy with small workouts.
