Thank you for my goodie. I wish I felt like I deserved it today. So mad with the scale. I gained weight yesterday even though I stayed on calories and worked out. :( I checked my sodium intake and that wasn't bad either. Just don't know....

Thank you for the comment and support re cooking in a motel. The biggest problem is we are here for an extended stay which gives you a much reduced rate. Upon registering for the first week I had to sign an agreement not to use any other cooking appliances in the room except the microwave. No slow cooker, not even a toaster! We had brought along one of those triple slow cookers but if we use it they can kick us out and not refund our money. So you may not be able to use your hot plate either.

I did go to the Spark people recipes and type in microwave and came up with several pages from that. A good many of them are desserts but I also found a few good suggestions for other main meals. I really think it can be done as some of the things I am trying work great. So far my husbands favorite is the "simply potatoes" mashed potatoes from the refrigerator section of the grocery. He loves potatoes and gravy and it is easy to make a great gravy with mushroom soup and some extra flavorings - much better than just a gravy mix. Of course vegetables are always easy and I was thrilled with how good corn on the cob is cooked in the husks and how easy it peels after microwaved. Protein is going to be the biggest challenge.
