Hello. I always make weight loss resolutions, but this time I am going to make a fitness resolution. Although I want to lose weight, I am currently focusing more on exercising and feeling better about myself.

My exercise will mostly be running and weight lifting. Running because the more I do it, the more I enjoy it, and weight lifting because aside form the fact that it is good for you and your bones and overall health, it will benefit my writing.

For feeling better about myself, I want to not only work out and eventually lose weight but also work on my writing. I am going to school for English Education, but my passion is writing fiction, particularly fantasy novels. I entered my most recent novel, Talented: Fire into the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award, and I now want to work on the sequel to that.

My Goals:
Right now my goal is to increase my running mileage to running for 3 miles without stopping and to write at least one page of my novel a day.


My Program:
Right now I am trying to stay within my calorie range and my cardio is running 2+ miles Monday-Saturday with Sunday as a rest day. I lift weights in the gym on MWF, and do pushups, situps, and bridges every night.

Personal Information:
I am an aspiring author working on the second book that I hope to someday bring to publishable quality.

Other Information:
I listen to music when I run but when I am walking or doing other cardio I often listen to audiobooks because it keeps me entertained.

Thank you for your comment on my blog. It's very rare that I go Under calories so it does not worry me. I appreciate your thoughts though as some do it regularly. My body gets lots of ups and downs and never knows what I'm going to throw at it next :)

Night cravings come from a drop in blood sugar and too much insulin in your system. (I'm on ATKINS Diet because I have Insulin Resistance and night cravings were my biggest problems: cookies and chips, etc.)

Make some SUGAR FREE JELLO and keep it in the refrigerator as it is only 40 calories. Buy sugar free gum, to chew at night. Buy DIET OCEAN SPRAY juice that is only five calories per serving of 8 ounces. I put it in popsicle molds and have POPS at night. It is made with SPLENDA and tastes great.
