2014 YEAR OF CHANCES, CHOICES & CHANGE

2014 IS GOING TO BE A HUGE TRANSITION YEAR FOR ME

Goals

1. Exercise 3 times a week for 1/2 hour (CARDIO)
2. Exercise 2 more times a week for at least 15 minutes (ANY FUN THING/ SUCH AS DANCING/PLAYING)
3. Lift weights - 3 TIMES A WEEK/ PROGRESSING IN #'S
4. Log onto Sparkpeople and track my food intake and exercise minutes
5. Keep up all the good habits that I have created over the past few years, including drinking water, taking the dogs ...

5. Keep up all the good habits that I have created over the past few years, including drinking water, taking the dogs for walks, keeping the house cleaned up daily, staying out of debt

I am planning to retire about mid 2014 if all plans go as expected. After that I hope to continue working at something that I would normally consider a hobby. - Not sure what this will be yet, but I am looking at opportunities.

My Goals:
Jan 2014 Goals for this year.

1. Retire about mid 2014.

2. Spend 1/2 hour per day outdoors.

3. Lose 1 pound a week. - This will put me at my goal by next New Years Eve.

4. Write 1 blog per week.

5. Call or visit 2 family members or friends per week.

6. Work out 5 times per week.

My Program:
1. Stay within 1300-1550 calories per day

2. Exercise 5 days a week, - 3 days of jogging or walking and 3 days of strength training

3. Keep posting in my food journal - daily

4. Encourage other people on Spark as much as possible

5. Eat 8 freggies per day

6. Continue drinking 8 glasses of water per day

7. Concentrate on conquering emotional eating by:
a) blogging about it
b) reading other peoples blogs to motivate me
c) not disappearing from Spark when times get rough
d) Stop after any 1 time of binging and think about why it has happened and what I can do to prevent it the next time it might happen, then write about this

8. Run/Walk 50K steps per week.

Thanks for commenting on my blog! I agree with you that walking is the way to go. It is for me also. It just seems like the exercise that I will be able to do for the rest of my life. I do also need to start some upper body exercises but.....

The picture of me and Elena was taken last August. She is 2 now; and I miss her so much. She lives on Long Island and we are in Ohio. The times together are just wonderful. I have two other grands; Corey is 20 and Kelsey is 19. They are nearby but somehow they just aren't quite as fun to shop for as Elena is. We love them all though!
