A Little About Me

I have struggled with weight my whole life, the typical yo-yo dieter. Go like crazy, then lose my motivation. I've just spent the last 4 months putting myself on hold -- again! it's so frustrating! I want to experience my life with joy, and I want to feel young (not BE young).
I need to come back to SP and remotivate myself, recreating the good positive habits that helped me to lose weight in the first place. The good thing, I've only gained about 10 pounds total. The bad thing, is ...

I need to come back to SP and remotivate myself, recreating the good positive habits that helped me to lose weight in the first place. The good thing, I've only gained about 10 pounds total. The bad thing, is that I would continue to gain if I don't take back control.

I will track every little thing that goes into my mouth, and I will track everything I do in the exercise department, too. So, if it doesn't work out, I will modify my program until it does.

I have to remember to make no excuses, no justifications, just accept that everything I do, say, eat, feel is a choice, and there are consequences to every choice made in life. I am taking control of my life...

Low carb seems the way to go. Still figuring out a meal plan. I think the weight would drop quicker if I followed something a little closer and really counted the carbs, at least for a while. I just want to be so done with the yo-yo dieting. I need a way of life that works for me that's maintainable. I did the vegan, and all types of vegetarian in-between and gained a ton of weight over that time. Wasn't working for me. Looking back I can clearly see why now; wish I could have seen it sooner. It came down to tons and tons of carbs, good and bad. Being diagnosed pre-diabetic woke me up. Been reading two great books: Keto-Adapted and Brain Grain. They explain alot.
Excited to hear you have a boyfriend. Yeah you!!! I know you've gone through lots of ups and downs over the last few years. Would really like to catch up in a personal email. I realize this is not the place for that.
Yep, Kimmi graduated. I can't believe all that time has gone bye. Blink and it's years. lol I'm getting old. So, she looking like crazy for a job, in this state or another. My son is now considering work in Florida or North Dakota in the oil fields. He's just at the beginning of his search. Who knows. We'll take one day at a time. He's young, strong, and smart. If he's going on an adventure, this would be the time. Pack the car, bring a buddy, and head on out. Would be good timing for him and us. I got laid off from my job yesterday. I knew things were slow, and we had all had to drop a day a few months back. Thing just weren't picking up. I'll miss a few of the girls and hope to keep in touch with them. I'll have to keep on them for a get together. Ok, I've gone on and on, so I'll say goodbye for now. Be well and I hope to hear from you soon. You have my personal email, so if we want to communicate that way, we can. Have a great day!!!!
Hugs,
Michelle

LOL!!! I don't know why the window posted the comment before I was through writing, but I'll take it as a sign I should go get my workout in.

So glad to hear from you and look forward to catch up with you on everything. Be well and have a great day!

Hugs,
Michelle

Hello to you too!!! I've missed you as well. I think of you often and hope things are going well for you. Think are chugging along here. My daughter graduated from college this past May. She is still looking for a job. Tough economy down here, no matter what the news reports. lol They are delusional. My son is still living at home. Hopefully both kids will be able to move out within the year. I know both would like to. Husband is doing well. Same ole, same ole. ha ha. Anyway, how are things with you??? How about your grandbaby? I hope all has smoothed out and is going very well for you now. The stress and worry we go through with children is so so much. I'm so happy to hear your weight loss has been going well!!! emoticon Must feel so good!! I'm still battling it out, but I'll never give up. I've gone low carb and feel so much better. Weight has started coming off again, thankfully. Finally I feel like the cravings aren't controlling me. Taking out the sugar and processed food has been a very good thing. So, how have you done it?? Any particular approch or just overall better eating??
