I am changing my introduction today after almost a year. May 1st 2010 was my start date with Spark. Now today April 11 2011 I have a different perspective. I used the nutrition tracker in the spring of 2010 and lost 22 pounds then in the fall of 2010 I stopped doing it. I just got tired of it I have continued to read Spark people emails and have continued to go for walks but the winter saw me gain back all but 6 pounds of my spring weight loss. Personal Information:
I am Joanna Carnie. I am a grandmother but the grand kids are 18 and 20 years old. I live in northern British Columbia in the countryside near a small village(originally from Montreal). I walk in the woods with my friend and our dogs. I am married and have a part time job at the local college. I read a lot and volunteer at the food bank.

Other Information:
In the last 20 years I have lost around 40 lb. twice. It seems like every 9 or 10 years I decide to lose the weight again. It creeps on at the rate of 3 or 4 pounds a year. I hate the scale and my clothes are tight. I am hoping to break the yoyo cycle this time and keep it off.

Hi Joanna. Thanks for commenting on my blog. So sorry to hear you got
4 inches of snow. That means you will have the cold around for a bit longer.
I feel guilty that we are enjoying great sunny weather. It was 24 today - 30 last Wednesday. Gets cool around 4 am then the days are beautiful till
around 6 pm. But I am still sitting here sleeveless at 8pm. My sinuses are
going crazy. I saw that Susan mentioned Zac. I also send lots of hugs to you.

I have followed Claire's beautiful travel and hiking blogs for some time- every one a work of art!
I, too, know a few folks who gained wt back after surgery but I can see why- did not address their emotional issues or did not exercise.
The balloon seems so simple- and its for six months and can be repeated every few years, if needed.
I have tried everything!
