I'm a 50 something mom still in need of a re-trained sweet tooth. I've been on Spark and lost weight, drifted away and promptly gained it all back. I'm back though and serious about it!

I receive much wise counsel through the Holy Bible. Scripture is full of wisdom for all, whether they are a believer or not. Here is the wisdom I receive today as I prepare for April's focus on developing a willingness that makes me able to succeed:

Isaiah advises us, "For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, 'In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.' But you were not willing" ~ Isaiah 30:15.

We miss out on good things in life when we are unwilling to cooperate in doing what is needful for achieving the good we desire. God through Isaiah tells us that our consenting to cooperate with laws, rules, guidelines, etc., leads to our eating "the best of the land" (Isaiah 1:18-20). Willingness to do what we must for what we want is a necessary mindset for overcoming temptation and the failure to achieve. Develop a willingness to do what it takes within the boundaries of what is good, right, and true, and you will go far in life.

"If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself" ~ John 7:17.

You know, I get so wrapped up in the struggle to reach the goal line that I forget to simply live the journey. My goal for summer 2015 is to simply live it; to keep moving forward, even if I stumble along the way. It is the lifestyle I want, to walk the road with faithful fervor. So I am going to focus on simply living it.

Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
(Psalm 37)

We can do it!

Things I am learning this week: Wholehearted resolve reveals itself through earnest effort that flows from a willingness to adjust course in order to accomplish a purpose. Adjustments made with wholehearted resolve to possess the goal desired will produce lasting results I can live with for the long haul. Thinking of you and praying for your journey as we walk this way together. Darlene

Hey, girl. Running by to cheer you on as you all begin another round. Hoping to get to a point where I am being consistent. When I get there with some assurance of being able to do a challenge without falling into the cycle of falling away when it is finished, I may shoot for another round of BLC. Till them I am here to cheer you!

Walk in wisdom this day. Pure wisdom leaves us with no question about whether it is a good thing to do.
Walk in wisdom this day, for wise decision, thoughts and actions bring peace to us.
Walk in wisdom, which practices gentleness even with oneself. Be good to you today.
Walk in wisdom, practicing sound reason in all things you face today.
Walk in wisdom that is full of mercy. Wisdom understands who we are, where we are, and the challenge faced in getting where we are going. It does not give a beat down, but lifts up off the ground.
Walk in wisdom. It produces good fruit, making a life of abundance.
Walk in wisdom. It is unwavering, removing doubt and fear.
Walk in wisdom that keeps us from a life of hypocrisy by stabilizing our course, making our path straight.
