my name ia Joan. I live on a farm by a small town named Villard. we would be about 140 miles northwest of the cities.

my hobbies are: needlework,knitting,crochet,sewing,quiltin


g,reading. I like action movies,clasic movies. I like to listen to music,all kinds but big band is my favorite.I like to play in the flower beds in the summer and feed the wild birds. We have three hound dogs and one black lab. we also have three cats outside. Also we have two mules. My husband rides them and takes them with when he goes elk hunting in the fall. I am a mother of three and a grandmother of six and grandmother of one foster girl and a greatgrandmother of her two little girls.

I am so sorry to hear of such a horrendous thing as happened to your niece and her precious baby. Just so very sad. My condolences.

Thanks for the comment I do appreciate it.
I use groung flax seed 4 tablespoons a day some days but often I use more. I was told never to use it in Baking because heat reduces the nutrients.
You might think I am crazy, maybe I am just a little.
I love oat bran. My breakfast and bedtime snack

is 1/4 cup oat BRAN -Healthfood store only
1/2 small banana as sweetener, I never use any sugar or artificial ANYTHING-Chemical sensitivities.
1/2 cup water
Microwave in high sided bowl 2 minutes.
After cooking I add 1/4 cup 1% cottage cheese
2 tablespoons ground Flax seed

I eat this morning and evening and despite the oats and Flax, nothing budges with the triglycerides.
I do take Krill Oil it is the only one that does not taste "fishy" all day.
We both do Salmon weekly or more and Tuna in water often.
Thanks for your help. I cannot find much on the internet either.
I will talk to my Physician who does my acupuncture I will see him soon. THANK you for caring. PLEASE do not think I am being negative here. I just needed you to know how hard I am trying with this. I my DH and our son all have elevated Tri's. Our son and I are Diabetic but I have the time and inclination to eat much better than he has.
