I am a 57 yo single professional. All my children have graduated hs and are on to college or life in general. I've been single for 14 years now, I date but not in a relationship. I enjoy hiking, camping, gardening, reading and dancing ( all kinds, especially salsa). Looking for fun and friends, especially those who dance and would like to enjoy some good music. Warning: I don't always "act my age" so if you have preset notions of how a middle aged woman should act...I probably do not fit into your mold. I am young at heart and want to meet up, interact and become friends with similar quality people.

My Goals:
I want to lose 45-55 pounds for several reasons: health, professional, and emotional. I was too thin most of my life and beginning at 35 things just seemed to creep up until at 189, I don't know how it got there. I am planning a lot of travel and want to have the energy and stamina to do all the things we've planned. Losing weight will help with that.


My Program:
I would like to do alternate days of strength and cardio. I now live way out in the country so by the time I get off work, it is too dark to do any walking or any outdoor activities. I also tend to feel "pooped out" by the time I walk in the door. Ideas are appreciated.



Personal Information:
I live in central NM but you rarely find me at home. Weekdays I work, so I leave at 6 AM and don't usually return til after 7 PM. I also tend to try and travel on weekends, usually to a sporting event, but in the summer I camp and go hiking a lot.


Other Information:
My favorite form of exercise is dance. I do a lot of dance exercise, including fusion, and salsa. I also take dance classes that have a lot of movement such as swing, salsa and ballet folklorio. I polka and can ballroom as well, even though I don't get as much cardio out of that.
