    Hi Joyce ~~
I should know better than to ay "I found what works!" because it's like a jinx. I was doing so well until Hubby's B-Day, did great even on his B-Day! Things fell apart the following day. I swear it is SUGAR. I'm back in a good place today and shall (WILL) make it stick! Thanks for asking. I so wish I could be as consistent as you. However, I am so much better than I used to be. Have a good week!

You're welcome. When I was first starting out going dairy free I felt completely alone. There is a lady in one of my spark teams who is also going diary free, she has helped me a lot. My go to snacks have always been some sort of dairy. When I first started not eating dairy, I went to the store and bought items that were dairy free (actually most were vegan, no eggs either) that were already prepared and I'd want to eat them. it consisted of things I don't usually eat: like cookies, donuts, rice milk chocolate bars and Ben and Jerry's Non-Dairy ice cream. I also stocked up on things I do eat that are more nutritious, like almonds, cashews, and mangoes. I bought a few vegan dairy items to try also. The reason I bought the junk food was because I'd get so hungry and just want to eat something and since there is still dairy in my house, I would get frustrated and just grab cheese. So I knew if I was going to get through the first week of being diary free I would need to have things that were on hand that I would actually want to eat and wouldn't feel deprived. After about 5 days, I don't reach for the non dairy junk food and I actually can control myself around the dairy in the house or when I'm cooking something with diary for my hubby or our boys. if you ever want to talk about it, or even vent etc you can email me on here. I'm on sparkpeople everyday.
