Hello. My name is Julie. I am an American, but I live with my family in Greece. We have been here almost 14 years.

I was born in Long Island, New York and raised in a Chicago suburb. I am married for 24 years (almost) and have two sons, ages 21 and 14. My family means the world to me.

I miss terribly my family and friends in the US but travel when I can.

I have some weight to lose and have been struggling. I take medications which increase my appetite and I do a lot of binge eating. This is embarrassing to me.

I hope to be inspired at SparkPeople, as I hope to inspire others! I am really grateful to the founder of SparkPeople. I can't believe his generosity and good nature.

Be Blessed. Julie

My Goals:
Here I am again, editing my goals. Guess what - last one not even close to being met. So here is new one: MOVE, EAT NORMALLY, GET INTO HEALTHIER SHAPE and LOVE MYSELF AND MY LIFE IN THE MEANTIME.

I do admit that I have an internal time line for Spring/Summer 2015 but let me not get caught up in number or calories (I can't count as we have such different food product here in Greece and half of them aren't labeled properly). So, just gonna have to do what I know is right. Not to hard really.

If you can, wish me luck because I need all the help I can get!! :-)

My Program:
Under construction.

Hi Julie. I hope you are enjoying your summer. It is getting really cold. the Australian Alps have lots of snow and the ski resorts are happy with the new powder. Unfortunately, we are getting part of the cold air in the sub tropics.
I will think of some new ways for the Greece team and let you know.
Have a great day.

We need to maintain a proper balance in our life by allocating the time we have. There are occasions where saying no is the best time management practice there is.

Hi Julie. Sorry I'm a bit late, but I just want to thank you for the lovely
Goodie. I am still working and I had planned to come to Rhodes this summer but it will have to wait till next year.
I have a friend in Thessaloniki whom I'd like to catch up with as well. I am on standby for jury duty at the moment for 2 more weeks. apart from that, nothing much is happening here.
Oh yes, out Treasurer here has just released the budget and it seems like we are in Greece - it is such a tough budget and lots of cuts to pensioners, ordinary families and health and schools. they also want us to pay $7 every time we go to see a GP. No one is happy. He plans to raise the retirement age to 70. Not fair on the tradespeople. Not at all popular and it will be interesting what will actually be passed.
I hope you are enjoying some nice Spring weather in Volos. We are now into Autumn but still have temperatures up to 25 Celsius.
Have a great weekend. emoticon
