Hi my name is Samantha and I'm 28. I have a 12 month old boy and a husband of 5 married years together. When we got married, I weighed 120 lbs, but life comes and before you know it, you've gained 40 lbs. Between slowing metabolism, slower jobs, and one baby so far, my weight got away from me. My goal is to get back to 120 lbs and start taking better care of myself and to be a good example for my son.
Right now my goal is to actually get started. My first day of my new life was 10-31-13. I hope to keep motivated and always get off of my butt!
Starting out - I do the 20 minute video of my Zumba DVD, I take my son and dog for a walk for at least a mile, and right now I am doing a 27 day challenge of strength training which involves increased numbers of crunches, leg raises and plank every 3 days.
I'll be 28 on 11/27 and I have a son, Liam, that just turned 1 on 10/29. My husband, Jason, and I have been married since 8-01-08, but have been together for 7 years. I work 2-3 days a week, and spend the rest of my time with my son and taking care of the house. My husband and I are trying to become debt free as well, so as soon as we have paid off our credit debt, I will stay home full time. I just graduated college as well in mid-October with a BA in Business Administration. We plan to have one more child, so as soon as my last child is in Kindergarten, I will start using my degree. I made a vow to myself that as soon as I was done with school, I would start working out. My husband and I plan on trying for another baby very soon.
I really love watching movies, hence my sedentary lifestyle. I also love to sew. I have been off and on selling my homemade baby supplies that I sew on Etsy, but plan on doing in more exclusively now that I'm done with school and working less.

Thank you so much for your friendship. Let's help each other do this. I think the battle is first won in our mind. That is the rudder that steers us, especially if we are submitting to God. I also think about how God is the One who created me and I need to be a good steward of my body. The baby steps to meeting my goal involve spending time with Him in His Word and in prayer, and choosing how to spend the time He has blessed us with wisely. And we both want to be healthy for our children. If we do this now, then we are getting the hard part overwith now. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

I'm also trying to become debt free. It's overwhelming sometimes trying to be the perfect mother, wife, homemaker, financially savvy person, as well as make healthy choices and still have any time left for yourself! Set small goals for yourself and use SP to help you track them. Baby steps!
