retired & lovin it!

I am a retired teacher--taught 1st graders for 35 years. Am now very involved in volunteer projects, mostly throught my church. I love to travel and cruise. Am married (45 years) and have 1 son and 2 grandsons.

September, 2009
I've decided it's time to start over! I am determined to do better and to be successful!
I do get in regular exercise at Curves but I've not been very good with the diet! BUT, I'm not going on a diet, I'm going to work on life changes ...

June 2014
My life has changed drastically since losing Chuck in January. I am learning I can do things I never thought I could do--like mowing the lawn! Chuck was the one who loved to work outside and I enjoyed what he planted! This year I took the easy way out--I planted artificial flowers! They bloom all year and I never have to worry about watering them!
October 2014
I'm approaching 9 months of being alone. I don't like it but I'm keeping busy. I have gotten back to Curves and I have lost 25 pounds. I WILL SURVIVE!

My Goals:
My goalsare: 1. to get 40 pounds off in order to first improve my health and so I'll feel better and the bonus of looking better! 2. to improve my eating habits. (I LOVE food ~~ especially what is NOT good for me!)

My Program:
I'm doing good with exercise. Have started doing Curves Smart which is a big help to me
Now I really need to work on the food!
