Roller skating into my 50's

I will be turning 50 in just over 7 months, I don't feel (or act) 50, but then again age is just a state of mind. I want to plow into my next decade with the same enthusiasm and energy that I plowed into the last one.

My Goals:
I usually put something like "I would like to lose 25 pounds by my birthday" under "goals". At this point I need to say " I will lose 25 pounds by my birthday which is 32 weeks away" and maintain that "will do" attitude.

My Program:
I walk, cycle and roller skate weekly. Swim occasionally and ride my skateboard when no one is looking! I am very active. I need to cut WAY back on the empty carbs that I pour into my body (ie: Pepsi!) and to think of the food and drinks that I put in my body as a source of fuel...and who wants to put cheap gas in the only vehicle you're ever going to have?

OMG I just checked my spark page......don't do that too often!
Thank you for all the encouraging words! Last week was the hottest week since I moved here, but it was if the heat, or the challenge of it, spurred me on! The day that it was in the low 100's there was practically no one at the park, but I just took my water and did what has to be done!
I love the challenges, I take them very seriously! I am totally a cyclist at heart, but I joined the walking challenge because I figured my body needed a change to keep things interesting. I have noticed that my stomach and back seemed to get a better workout with the addition of walking this week emoticon

Onward and upward!

I saw your walking challenge points today - you have down 0 points, you walked 8080 steps, shouldn't it be 2 points? 96 degrees you did not whimp out that's for sure!!!
