May 10th, 2011 - 17 Day Diet!
I am now on the 17 day diet and so far I'm thinking this might be the thing to get the weight off and keep it off. It's helping me to stop my cravings and binge eating so that's a great thing.
February 1st, 2011 - 160 lbs - Yet AGAIN!
Ugh, here I am again saying "I will lose the weight and keep it off for good!" Everytime I say it, I mean it, but then the food gets in my way. I am going to do a triathlon on June 18th and I know it will be easier if I'm not carrying an extra 15 lbs with me. I actually lost 10 lbs in the 5 weeks before Christmas and kept it off over the holidays. Then I returned home and put 7 lbs back on in 3 weeks! This up and down can't be healthy for my body.
I am back to tracking my food and exercise. I am trying to swim twice a week, run twice and spin twice. I also add in cross-country sking for variety whenever I can.
September 21st, 2010 - 160 lbs - AGAIN!
I was going to lose the weight by May and did get down to 155, then ended up back at 163. I'm on my way down again and just can't keep doing this.
This time, it's going off and staying off - FOREVER!!
April 7th, 2009 - 160 lbs
Well I lost the weight I wanted last year, vowed never to put it on again and the winter came and that's exactly what I did. I am not pleased at all. 6 weeks to my 43rd birthday and with 2 lbs a week, I will be close to goal and this time all the clothes that are even just slightly too big are going to charity. If my clothes get too tight, I will have to lose the weight.
I just discoved the Sparkpeople app for Blackberry so no more excuses for not tracking!
I just suddenly realized how the weight has been creeping back on the last 2 years. When I realized I needed to lose 25 lbs I was shocked! I always thought of myself as 5 lbs overweight, but that isn't so.
I have tried Weight Watchers twice, but no success. I did lose 15 lbs on Spark before my 40th birthday, but put it back on and more. Now it's time to lose it before I turn 42 in May.
I know I lost it last time because I worked out every day and tracked my calories. So to reach my goals this time, I need to do the same. It makes me think before I put food in my mouth and that is something I have to do more often.
I love to do spinning classes and I run on my treadmill the other days. I'm trying to put weights back into my workout and I'm also trying to swim twice a week.
I'm very excited to finally believe I CAN and WILL succeed this time!
August 4th, 2009 - Update:
- I didn't meet my goal to lose all my weight by my birthday in May, but I was on my way and have continued. I fell off the tracking wagon and have climbed back on today (must not fall off again).
- Have to stay motivated and make the most of the good weather.
- I enjoyed training for my first triathlon and would like to get motivated to do another one.
- I love my bike, cycling is my sport. After all these years, I have finally found what I love. To cycle for miles and miles and see the country is just great.
March 30/09: 171 lbs
May 5/09 (5 wks): 160.5 Yeah, down 10.5 lbs!!
August 4/09: 155 lbs - Down 16 lbs (heading in the right direction)
To lose the weight and keep it off forever!
To be 159 lbs by May 18th, 2011.
To be 143 lbs by July 15th
Compete in my 2nd triathlon June 18th
Compete in my first tri-athlon this June/09 - DONE June 20/09
