Hello and welcome to my page. Feel free to comment and leave me a note. I love meeting Spark People and hearing your stories.

But as much as I would like to see those weight loss goals materialize - feeling well physically, being able to walk and have good, flexible joints (that don't hurt) is much more important at this point. Doing at least 60 minutes of cardio a day keeps my blood pressure in line and the strength exercises help prevent back pain during long office hours.

The biggest challenges at the moment are my heavy work-schedules which take away too much energy for little benefit.

The other thing is - I need to stop solving issues by eating! Happy? Eat something! Sad? Eat something! Bored: well eat a double portion of everything! Exhausted: never stop eating at all. I so need to get over this and I welcome all success stories in that department very much!

Just to add: The tables say normal at 65. I am not sure I want to weigh less than 70 at this point in my life... but let's get to there and think later.

I am particularly paying attention to what I'm eating - replacing sweets with fruit.

I need to flexibility exercizes. It's ridiculous how stiff I've gotten.

I need a regular aerobic routine. Now that Charlie is too old for the kind of walks I need.

So sad to hear about your dog. Our Zeus is now starting to slow down a lot. The vet is coming tomorrow. No trail rides since August. Nothing sadder than watching a beloved friend become weak & knowing you can't help them. Hugs to you amiga, Francesca emoticon

Great job on going to the gym first thing!!! I'm sorry that you have so much travelling in your future. Hope you get to stay home soon.

Today was spent on creating yield charts for the boss. Not physically difficult, but brain draining. Hoping tomorrow is new projects.

I see you were able to make it to the gym today!! Good for you. Hopefully that is a sign that work is settling down. Not so much for me, but I have committed myself to get outside and walk most days for at least 10 minutes or more each day. Keep up the good work!! emoticon
