Hello and welcome to my page. Feel free to comment and leave me a note. I love meeting Spark People and hearing your stories.

But as much as I would like to see those weight loss goals materialize - feeling well physically, being able to walk and have good, flexible joints (that don't hurt) is much more important at this point. Doing at least 60 minutes of cardio a day keeps my blood pressure in line and the strength exercises help prevent back pain during long office hours.

But as much as I would like to see those weight loss goals materialize - feeling well physically, being able to walk and have good, flexible joints (that don't hurt) is much more important at this point. The biggest challenges at the moment are my heavy work-schedules which take away too much energy for little benefit.

The other thing is - I need to stop solving issues by eating! Happy? Eat something! Sad? Eat something! Bored: well eat a double portion of everything! Exhausted: never stop eating at all. I so need to get over this and I welcome all success stories in that department very much!

Just to add: The tables say normal at 65. I am not sure I want to weigh less than 70 at this point in my life... but let's get to there and think later.

My Program:
I am particularly paying attention to what I'm eating - replacing sweets with fruit.

I need to flexibility exercizes. It's ridiculous how stiff I've gotten.

I need a regular aerobic routine. Now that Charlie is too old for the kind of walks I need.

My family helps a lot with the weeding of the garden. Strawberries sound delicious. We hope to have strawberries next year!

The Dirty Dash is a four mile race/run with obstacles. There were nets to climb up and over, mud pits to climb through, pipes, hay bales and walls to climb over, under or through. Took us 2 1/2 hours to complete it. It was fun!

At least you don't eat the whole meal! But I understand where that feeling comes from. The good news is that my tiny garden is starting to provide a little bit - had a cucumber straight from the garden after dinner. So yummy!!
