Healthy mind, healthy body

Hi! I have lost over 50Lbs using Sparkpeople since November 2009. I have realized that much of this weight was put on due to the mental aspects of having been diagnosed with a chronic illness in 2007. I gave birth to my last child in September of 2006, but before that pregnancy and during it I was very, very active. Hi! I have lost over 50Lbs using Sparkpeople since November 2009. I have realized that much of this weight was put on due to the mental aspects of having been diagnosed with a chronic illness in 2007. I gave birth to my last child in September of 2006, but before that pregnancy and during it I was very, very active. Now that I am officially back at my pre-pregnancy weight and the self I remember I have changed my name on this New Year's Day 2011 as well as my ticker. My ticker now represents where I need to go to be the healthiest Heather I can be, and is much less than my original ticker which showed a 71Lb total weight loss. I am still about 18Lbs away from that goal as of today, but now I am in such a different space that I wanted to have a new fresh start. I accomplished alot in 2010. I started running again, I ran two 5Ks in fact! This year my main fitness goal is to race a 10K with 5Ks scattered about. In addition I have this horrible habit of constantly crossing bridges before I get to them. I would like to temper that quite a bit. I realize that planning ahead can be healthy but I tend to worry ahead always thinking the worst will happen. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I need to do my best to realize that I can only control so much and let the pieces fall where they may. I no longer want to be suffering with RA, I want to be living with it. I also want to focus on treating others with love.

****UPDATE 5/27/11****
As of yesterday I officially made my goal of a "healthy" BMI (29.9). My total weight loss as of today is 70.2Lbs! During the next few months I will be attempting to see where my "ideal" weight is. I have adjusted my ticker to reflect the journey that is ahead of me.
