I've been a member here at SparkPeople for a long time now. I lost almost 30 pounds and then gained back a few. I still have a long way to go.

SparkPeople has changed the way I eat, plan my meals, and exercise. I can't recommend this site enough. I'm always learning new things and meeting new people who inspire me to keep going.

At 59 years, I still have a long and productive life ahead of me, and I intend to enjoy it to the fullest!

My Goals:
My main goal is to lose inches from my no longer expanding waistline. I actually have lost more than 4 inches since I started SP in 2007! I'm starting to see my waist!

I will continue to make good nutrition choices and I will get more exercise in my daily routine.

My Program:
I'm cutting back on sugar, wheat and processed food, also I'm trying to work out at least an hour every morning.

Personal Information:
I spend my best days wandering around the Illinois River Valley, photographing the wildlife that I see.

You can visit my photo site here:

Other Information:
I love to read novels by Joyce Carol Oates, Virginia Woolf, Emily and Charlotte Bronte, Kurt Vonnegut, John Irving, John Updike, and many others. I'm currently reading Peyton Place by Grace Metalious and Mysteries of Winterthurn by Joyce Carol Oates.

I also love to research genealogy for both my family and my husband's.

Hi Jane,

I just saw your post about Vinnie Tortorich and had to come by and thank you for sharing that information about him. I'm going to look into his ebook and look at his website.

Thanks for the Goodie. I actually have one. My kids got it for me a couple of years ago and I do love it!
