Trekking in Alaska

I'm a Christian housewife in the frozen arctic of Alaska. Loving every minute of it, but hard to workout with the cold. I struggle with consistency, but am determined to get to a healthy weight and be a good example to my husband and daughter.

Good Morning

Dropping by to wish you a Blessed Easter Weekend and share a special Easter Poem....

Easter Means Eternal Life

A perfect God demands a perfect justice;
He cannot let us get away with sin.
We used Godís gift of our free will to trespass,
So heavenís gates were closed; we couldnít get in.

Our sin required our blood, a sacrifice,
To atone for all the wrongs that we had done.
"But I love them!" cried our Father, filled with sorrow;
"Iíll send my only Son to be the one."

Good Friday marks the slaying of our Jesus,
The unblemished lamb, the perfect sacrifice.
He took our guilt and blame upon Himself,
So we could be with Him in paradise.

On Easter morning, he came back from death;
He vanished from the tomb, the empty grave.
His resurrection means eternal life
For us, the ones he came to earth to save.

This summarizes all the Easter story
And because of it, weíll be with Him in glory.

Hey there! I am struggling with making it consistent too. I am getting up super early and doing it. I was trying to squeeze in little exercises which the experts say that is the best way to do it! I used to do that BEFORE kids. BUT now with kids....it is a different story.

I am doing okay with it now, but it took about four weeks to make it consistent. I am going to make it stick. It is going to be hard. My mom and dad are both very sick, so I help them out when I can.

Do you have a way to make time for yourself to workout? That is my struggle with being a SAHM. Maybe we can motivate each other;-) We gotta make time for ourselves;-) It is very important!
