2012 January - It's funny when i look at my message from 6 years ago. I tried to "diet" and exercise but i failed to realize that i didn't need to diet, i needed to change the way i think about food. I still love food, i just count how much of it i eat, looking at it that way, it's just simple math - eat less than you exert and you WILL lose weight.

2006 - Hey all, my name is Chris and I've already started with the changes on my lifestyle to get me on my way to living a healthier life. I've been training for just four weeks now, by far the longest I've ever dedicated to any kind of physical exercise and diet.

My Goals:
2012 - To change the way i think about food. In doing so, i hope to drop to ~205lbs being 6'2" as long as i work out it should look good =)

2006 - To shed around 90lbs of pure fat while retaining my current muscle mass. In addition, increasing my physical strength and vastly improving my cardio.

My Program:
2012 Jan - I've been trying to eat around 1500 calories a day, my BMR is ~2900 calories so even with minimal activities i should have a 1500 calorie deficit daily, equating to 10,500 calories a week, 3lbs!

Honestly, what's making this work for me is it's simple math. Eat less than i exert and I WILL lose the weight.

This is the first time I haven't ever been hungry while watching what i eat. This is the last time you'll see me over 300lbs, one year from now i WILL be 205 or less =)

2006 - I do cardio at the gym 6-7 days a week, anywhere from 1-2 hours total. I try to alternate what i do so my body is always working different muscles and doesn't plateau. I'm very fond of the elliptical cross trainers and playing basketball.

I weight lift 3-4 days a week alternating strength and circuit training, with occasional maxing out sessions.

I'm dieting around 2300-2500 calories a day, and no longer drink soda.
