Staying Fit and Healthy

I am 31 years old and I have been married for 8 years. I am a dance instructor and I also teach Pilates. Four years ago, I embarked on a journey to lose 40 pounds. I wish I had known about Spark People then. I managed to lose the weight on my own in 2 years. At the end of the journey, I found SparkPeople and joined in hopes of maintaining. However, I have since put on 20 pounds. So now, I'm trying to implement some more healthy habits and take those 20 pounds back off.

My Goals:
I would like to finally reach 40 pounds lost (again!) and keep it off this time.
I would also like to tone up a bit.

My Program:
Nutrition: In a phrase, portion control. I am not cutting anything out of my diet completely, just limiting portions.

Exercise: I teach Pilates 7 times per week and a few hours of dance classes three days a week, so I get a bit of exercise there. Currently, I'm also trying to slowly get back into running, usually between 2 and 4 days a week.

Personal Information:
I am originally from Huntsville, AL. I have a degree in Dance and I'm also a certified Pilates instructor. I'm a Christian who loves God with all of her heart. I've been married 8 years and my husband is the love of my life.

Other Information:
I love the color teal or just about any other blue-green color.
I love white roses.
Chocolate is my weakness.

Hi you! Thanks for commenting on my blog. I have been seeing a neurologist since last December. I had a coital cephalgia (migraine) and had a MRA scan done and they found a "bubble," so we/they have been watching it. Doc says that I can do anything I want, because it's very small and wants me to exercise. I'm just having a hard time wanting to do anything. But I did read on A.P.E.X. website about exertion headaches and needing to let your brain rest after having one. I didn't know that and have not rested anything for any amount of time. I'm going to try doing Tai Chi and see if that makes my head pond.
