4 years of maintenance! I am doing it.

I have lost 110 pounds. I have completed 4 years of maintenance and am entering into year 5. Exercise, planning, and healthy eating have become a way of life for over four years. I can do this. I can keep this weight off!

It is time to say I am going to make it this time and keep up my health. I am not returning to sugar, emotional eating, and refined carbs. Bingeing is no longer part of my life.

I am Done Being the Fat Girl. I am happy to be at goal weight ...

My Goals:
A decision made about what to weigh is a decision about how to live.

To wake up determined and to go to sleep with satisfaction.

It may be hard, but it is not impossible and I will find a way.
When I lost all of my excuses, I found all of my results.
To decide on a weight is to decide on the life you want to live.

My Program:
Health low carb eating. Exercise and strength training.

6 Keys to Resiliency
1. Accept and face difficult situations head on. Anticipate in advance that challenging situations will arise all the time. Almost every week is marked with a birthday party, unhealthy temptations or busy workdays at home or the office. Be proactive rather than reactive, and plan how you will handle the challenge. Learn more about developing a Plan B to stick to your goals.

2. Believe in your own inner strengths. Take time to remind yourself of past successes in other challenging areas of your life. Identify the strengths you used then, and apply those strengths to your weight loss journey. This is a good exercise to try in the beginning of your journey. Write down those successes in a blog post or a journal. When you start doubting yourself, return to them for motivation.

3. Reframe your thinking. Tell yourself that setbacks are temporary, not permanent. Focus on what is still working, rather than the area where you lapsed. Remind your

It had never occurred to me to get Great Pyrenees or any large dog, before we moved out here and lived with so many coyotes, on this ranch. I did research and these dogs are the least aggressive to farm animals so I decided on this breed. I adopted them from the TX Great Pyrenees Rescue and they fit our animal and people family perfectly.

I love sharing my animals with you. emoticon

Diving into our creativity is rich medicine – so often disguised (as it was for me) as discontent or restlessness. It is a tool to thrive in life’s uncertainty. Mags MacKean
