Approx April 2007 around 9 and a half stone. Would love to look like this again but more toned.
February 2010 - 39 weeks pregnant, 5 days before giving birth - approx 14 stone
2 months post partum- April 2010, approx weight 12 stone 5lbs
My name is Kathleen Smith, I'm 25 married and a mother to a beautiful son Zac who was born in February 2010. I recently lost 25lbs with the help of a local NHS weight loss programme (no shakes or gimmicks or dieting at all required, just common sense and a change in lifestyle). Since losing 25lbs and getting down to around 11 stone (give or take a pound) in 11 weeks I have decided to join this Spark community to keep the momentum going and track my progress. I want to feel inspired by other people and I wish to pass the favour on and inspire others too. Ideally I would like to weigh between 9 and 10 stone but my first goal this year is 10 stone. I am fortunate enough to own a pair of very strong sturdy calves which I have honed recently through long distance walks and trekking up my not so local large hill.
I would LOVE to get my figure back from when I was 21, a tiny waist, toned abs, small hips, no unsightly bingo wings or thunder thighs ha ha. I will upload some pictures shortly as a brief introduction of where I stand and where I wish to be.
If anybody in the Telford, Shropshire (UK) area wants to meet up for outdoor/indoor exercises with me then please let me know. I will soon be moving to Burnt Oak in North West London/Middlesex but will be back on weekends, so I could meet people on the evenings during the week (excl Fridays) for walks/jogs/runs etc.
1st goal - weigh 10 stone
2nd goal - weigh 9 stone
3rd goal - tone up
Once I move back to London for my work during the week I will eat a "clean diet" or cous cous/lemon/pepper, mushy peas, home made soups, spaghetti bolognese, cottage pie and salads. I will snack on fruits, frozen fromage frais (as it lasts longer) and pickled onions.
I have devised my own home workout which I have lost 3 stone using in the past. It will involve aerobics, weight/resistance training, may start yoga or pilates and lots of walking.
Kathleen Smith (formally Ratcliffe),
Married since March 2008, son Zac born in February 2010. Heaviest ever (excluding when I was pregnant) was 13 stone 1 in January 2009. I hail from a small town called Telford in Shropshire, UK.
An idea without daily grounded actions is merely a nice idea.

Congrats on your new child! And thanks for your comment. Let's definitely keep in touch and perhaps we can workout together in the next few months or at least support our journey!

Welcome to the gang, we are a very friendly & supportive group of Sparkers so come on in and feel at home here. Drop in for ‘A Natter’ anytime or check up our next Sunday Lunch get-together & come & meet up with us. We have just started meeting up with each other for the odd Sunday lunch, the first of which was in Telford, one was in Feb in Birmingham & the last one was in Nottingham in May..
Each year for the past 3 years, Pete (DH & also CATMAN124) & I have organised the UK Main Team Party in the Park at Coombe Abbey and although the gatherings have only been small so far, we are hoping that as an annual event, it will grow & grow. This year it was held on the 24th July & we had a brilliant time. (see Pete’s Bog from the weekend or mine with more photos)
