I'm a retired social psychologist. My interests were in health psychology, aging, and women's issues. My thesis looked at the impact of social support on recovery from stroke and my dissertation on the impact of social support on the health of caregivers to older adult stroke patients. I taught for 20 years at South Dakota State University. Welcome to the profession.

Thank you so so much for your comment on my blog. After much debate with my husband, I've come to the conclusion that the person was joking, and I may have overreacted a bit due to hormones. However, if this person does something like this again, I'm definitely going to address it with them. emoticon

Hi, welcome to SP! I've been a member for 18 months now, still working out the kinks in my own habits. I did lose about 50lbs using the nutrition and fitness trackers; I'm struggling with the last 25lbs. Give me a holler if you need anything, help with the site or support or just someone to listen.
