Striving for Shorts Without Shame

Between 2007 and 2011, I gained two children -- and 68 pounds. I kept looking back, filled with regret at not having done something about this weight gain sooner, but looking back didn't propel me forward. Before kids, I loved being a healthy and fit person, and I looked forward to being healthy and fit -- and loving it -- again. In March 2014, I had my third (and final) child and found myself with 30-35ish pounds to lose. Thanks to a trial (I'm a lawyer), sandwich generation family challenges, and a job change, I have proceeded to lose and regain the same 10 pounds three times since. At this point, life is pretty stable, and I just want to get back to where I'm happy with my fitness level/health/endurance/appearance again.

My Program:
1250-1550 calories per day

Exercise 4-6 days a week, with a fitness routine that changes every 4-8 weeks.

August: 30 day shred 2x/week, ripped in 30 1-2x/week, run/walk 1-2x/week

I am a lifelong New Englander, a mom of three, and an employment lawyer in Boston. I am also a lover of both ice cream and pizza and a loather of raw tomatoes and mustard.

You certainly are determined! 4 hours of sleep and I'd either be a zombie or a mega B&$^# lol. I'm going to take a page out of your book tomorrow and start tomorrow off with a trip to the gym! Thanks for the added motivation!

At this point I will take any weight loss, no matter how small the number is. It is nice to know I am not in the "boat" alone. I didn't expect my weight loss plateau to last quite as long as it has. I know I will get over the hump eventually. The 150's are right around the corner for me. I am ready to get started with the BLC29 too. Hopefully it is the extra push I need to get the numbers rolling again.
