Dec 31/16-I ended up at 293 but am now 261. I have to do something, my health is starting to suffer because of the weight. I now have high blood pressure, high colesteral (sp) and oesteoarthritis in my knee. I need both knees replaced, the right one is the worst. I want this weight off as it will help with all those issues.

I decided to eat low carb and have started now. I used to wait until the "new year' but now is just as good a time as any.

I have joined the %5 Challenge which starts Jan 14th. I am eating low carb but I am not sure I am comfortable with this plan. I will try it for a bit longer and see how it goes. My goals for the challenge are to get up earlier in the morning and get my walking in with a youtube video. I will track my food and check in with the team at least 3x per week.

My Program:
Keeping track of what I am eating, even if I go way over I still enter it in my tracker (though, believe me, sometimes I don't want to do that) though I would only be fooling myself if I didn't. Exercising more. Whether that is going for a walk or using the recumbent bike.

Other Information:
I like movies, being on the computer, reading and traveling. I love animals and have 2 beautiful cats, a beautiful ginger cat and a beautiful tabby, both males. (both neutered of course)

    Apparently I did have staples but my doctor covered the dressing with some kind of waterproof plastic that sticks to my skin. Best thing ever! Hope you are recovering well! This is a whole lot more work than I anticipated!
