Kayelene's Battle with the Bulge

I commit to being the very best that I can be. I deserve to love, be loved and most importantly of all, I deserve to love myself. I deserve a healthy body and I will never give up on myself, no matter what happens, and I promise to do whatever it takes to make it happen. Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

My goals = 5% Weight Loss Challenge -Winter Casual Travelers

I will weigh in weekly on a Saturday
I will exercise daily for a minimum of 30 minutes ...

My goals = 5% Weight Loss Challenge -Winter Casual Travelers

I will weigh in weekly on a Saturday
I will exercise daily for a minimum of 30 minutes
I will aim to log 10,000+ steps per day on the fitbit
I will do exercises set by the physio daily
I will aim to go to the gym 3 times a week
I will log everything I eat in my nutrition tracker
I will aim to lose 500g weekly
I will strength train 3 times a week if possible
I will drink 8 glasses of water per day
I will include more freggies in my diet
I will be strong and healthy
I will be more prepared so that I don't go grazing when I get home from work so times I am tempted to eat, I will be doing something else.
I will ask for support from my team members if I need it.
I will be mindful of what I'm eating.

I can do it!

Primary goal for 2015 is to look good for my son's wedding in October.

Do you grow mint? Be careful if you do...it is VERY invasive so you want to keep it in a pot/planter, not in the ground! emoticon

I have grown it for years and I love putting it in my ice water in the summertime. emoticon It looks a little weird but it tastes great...refreshing! emoticon The ice helps crush the mint leaves to release the flavor. I also make mint "sun tea" emoticon and serve it iced. Good Luck!! emoticon emoticon

emoticon I've also have been having a tough time getting all my water down (even when I can see it) especially when the weather is cold. I'm burned out on the lemon/lime slices. If I add some of DH's cherry juice or cold herbal tea sometimes that helps. Please share any ideas. This is such a vital part of success. Good luck and much success!!

My suggestions for getting your cups of water swallowed.

for me: filling water bottles first thing in the morning so I can see how well I am doing (or not) !! Setting goals of when each bottle will be emptied... depending on the volume in the bottle having a reasonable amount of time to drink the contents helps me stay on track.

For the first few days measure out the water and try to keep track of when you are drinking it and how much you are drinking... then set your goals to increase your water intake over time...

Just my thoughts... I will be interested to hear how you are doing....
Meanwhile... what is "Winter" in your corner of the world like for you?... I know I could google weather for Perth ... but that is so impersonal... and is it what real people would say,,,,
