I am a runner!

One of my best girlfriends got me interested in a race and that's how I began my interest in running. Thanks Jen. My first race was a two mile run in July 2008. Very hot day and 3 unexpected hills but I did it. I had two goals for that day, not to walk and to finish under 20 minutes. Unfortunately, I had to walk. It was so hot and the three hills got to me. However, I did finish the race under 20 minutes. I finished in 19.24 minutes. Not to shabby!!

Since then I have become more interested in taking care of my body and my health. I am now dedicated to losing some weight and getting healthy and fit. My running really took off in 2009. With 20 races of all different lengths finished in 2009, I feel like a real runner. I completed 5 half marathons and my very first marathon in December 2009. Next up is my first trail ultra. Buckeye Trail 50k which is in July 2010.

Day two went great! I ate more, so I did get up to 1233 calories, which is perfect, and I got on the elliptical for 30 minutes. Still having a hard time with drinking so much water, and eating enough protein, but otherwise good to go!

I'll be running the 10K. This will be the furthest distance I've run in over 10 years.

LOL no it didnt help :) I was asking how do you know how many miles and how long it takes...meaning how do you know how far you ran like how do you know you ran 3 miles or how to you know where 3 miles running is?? Get it? I am asking because I have no idea how far I am runniong and owuld like to know how I could tell.
