I married my highschool sweetheart in 2007. Prior to the wedding I used Sparkpeople to get in shape. It worked and on the day I felt beautiful. However, after the wedding I stopped most of my workouts and fell into eating unhealthy foods. Add onto that the stress of work and finishing up my Masters and viola, I'm back to higher than when I started.

Before getting pregnant in Dec. 2011 I had done several sprint triathlons, run 2 half marathons and was into my first month of Insanity. Unfortunately I used pregnancy as an excuse to eat whatever I wanted and despite staying fairly active I gained 45 pounds.

Now I'm raising an almost 2 year old who I love, working, and trying to find the motivation to eat healthy and work out on little sleep.

I'm a 5th grade teacher from Lansing, Michigan. I live with my wonderful husband, adorable baby boy, 2 cats, and a dog. I love to read, garden, play sports (the only team I religiously watch is the Spartan Football team), and cook.

Welcome to Living Binge Free where we encourage members to concentrate more on how to live peacefully pleasurably WITH reasonable amounts of food, rather than on how to win a weight loss war. This is not to say it always feels peaceful and pleasurable as we learn to deal with strong desires to eat, but no one is ever sorry she tolerated the difficulty instead of bingeing. But we're also aware that it is typical for people to slip multiple times before they get much better at it. In fact, you can actually BE getting better at it even when you fail. Honestly, only a few of our threads are active, but we do have one that has been active for over six years! Please come get support in getting off a "diet" and figuring out and living a lifestyle. emoticon
