Trying to return to healthy.

Injury plus bad things happening in life and my tendency towards emotional overeating has led to quite a bit of weight gain on top of already being chubby. I'm in the worst shape in my adult life (which is admittedly not as horrible as "normal" I want to get back what I had. It's hard to come back, because it's always a comparison I don't measure up to, instead of achievement. However, I need to stop going in the wrong direction.

Running has long been my passion. I have run ~65 marathons and longer races. My proudest moments include qualifying for Boston in 2009 (135-140 lb) and winning a summer 10 hour race and winning with 54 miles in 2012 (165-170 lb).

I got up to 185 lb, a size 12 for me at 5'4. I want to get down to 135 lb which is just over my lightest. Back then, I thought - oh I need to lose 10 lb more, but, I think I know to appreciate it now!

I saw your page and thought that it looks like we have some common ground! I am a full-time shift working mom of 2 kids (4 1/2 and 2) and was in great shape before having my son in 2012 and since then have been struggling to return to running and to lose the extra 40-50 lbs that I have been carrying around.
