I've been off and on Spark People since 2009. I got back on in Aug 2012 and finally reached my goal weight on November 25, 2012.

Now is the hard part for me, staying active and continuing to eat healthy. It would be so easy for me slip back into my couch potato, snacking habits!

I believe in baby steps to reach any goal. Small, healthy, smart changes every single day. I don't always have time for a long workout.

I like to to break up my activity throughout the day to keep calorie burn and metabolism working for me all day long. I also believe in rest days. Muscles need a rest to repair and strengthen.

I want to continue to work on staying strong and healthy, not skinny. I watched my mom suffer with many health problems and no muscle tone to help her get through a day. I want to avoid that in my old age!

    Thanks for your supportive comments. I kept a bit of a low profile on social media about it for a while. Doing well over here, we have a great team focused on improving their facilities, infrastructure, and capabilities. My DW has been having to bear the brunt of being a single parent with four small kids, which is much more challenging that what I am up to.
