I've been off and on Spark People since 2009. I got back on in Aug 2012 and finally reached my goal weight on November 25, 2012.

Now is the hard part for me, staying active and continuing to eat healthy. It would be so easy for me slip back into my couch potato, snacking habits!

I want to continue to work on stayinge strong and healthy, not skinny. I watch my mom suffer with many health problems and no muscle tone to help her get through a day. I want to avoid that in ...

Hi Kellie, thanks for the very thoughtful comments on my blog. I wonder how one goes about not allowing the drama to develop and escalate. I know I'm not a great role model for my daughter. My daughter goes to a small private school with only 14 girls in her class. As it happens, many of the mothers are good friends, too. I have never been a clique person, and I feel that since I don't join the mothers very often, my daughter gets left out. The last time I did join (you might remember the Glo Run blog), the mothers ended up with more drama than the 12 year olds - I don't need that. I like the way you put it,"we do not need to get over-emotional and contantly dwell over life's disappoitments because there will be many." Words to live by, to be sure emoticon emoticon
